Short version: we keep tracking to a minimum and our analytics use no cookies.

This Cookie Policy explains how Friction, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on stopfriction.com (the "Site"). We have deliberately kept this light — we do not run advertising trackers and our website analytics do not use cookies at all.
A cookie is a small text file a website can store in your browser. Cookies are often used to remember settings, keep you logged in, or track activity across websites. Not every site needs them, and we use very few.
We measure Site traffic with Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track you across other websites. It only gives us anonymous, aggregate counts — for example, how many people visited a page. Because it sets no cookies, no consent is required for it.
Essential cookies. Our host (Netlify) may set basic cookies needed for the Site to load and stay secure. These do not track you for marketing.
Payment cookies. If you go through checkout, our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies needed to process the payment securely and to help prevent fraud. These appear only during a payment and are set by Stripe, not by us.
We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or cross-site trackers.
You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings, and set your browser to warn you before accepting them. Blocking essential or payment cookies may affect parts of the Site, such as completing a payment. Because our analytics are cookieless, blocking cookies will not affect how the Site measures traffic.
If we ever add cookies or tracking, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and we will add a consent banner if one is required.
